Captains,

We have identified an error associated with claiming Mermaid Island Conquest Rewards.

In this case, repeatedly leaving and rejoining an Alliance would disrupt the intended Mermaid Island Conquest reward structure. We have successfully verified the anomaly, and the fix has been applied.

We sincerely apologize for the trouble caused by this incident.

In addition, we have identified circumstances where some Captains were aware of this error and exploited said circumstances to their benefit.

As outlined in our Terms of Use Agreement - Operation Policy, anyone intentionally exploiting an anomaly, error, bug, or system for personal profit, severely impacting the game, or making said bug known to other Captains, encouraging such illicit behavior, could result in an account suspension.

Please understand that any Captain who has obtained any benefit by abusing any game system or bugs will have their account suspended so that our team may retrieve the ill-gotten rewards. We will do our best not to adversely impact the gameplay experience of Captains who have been playing the game as intended.

■ Standard of Mermaid Island Conquest Reward Abuse

- Mermaid Island Conquest Individual Contribution Rewards can be obtained based on the total contribution accrued. The contribution and rewards reset every day at 00:00 UTC.

However, if Captains left and rejoined an Alliance, the contribution and rewards tabulated would immediately reset.

- After the conclusion of a thorough investigation of this case, we have confirmed that many Captains intentionally abused this bug, and we are now in the process of determining the extent of any related damage that had adversely affected other Captains.  

■ Account Restriction and item Retrieval Schedule

June 14th, 2022, at 18:00 PDT

 ㄴCaptains who obtained Rewards by exploiting the bug will be temporarily suspended for 7 days so that any illicitly obtained Rewards can be retrieved.

※ Any abuse that is confirmed during the investigation will result in an account suspension.

※ Temporary suspensions will be applied so that any illicitly obtained Rewards can be retrieved. We will retrieve any in-game items or resources gained from the Mermaid Island Conquest. The suspension will be lifted once the retrieval process has been completed. Updates as to the status of the process will be provided via the Notice Board.

■ Event Method Adjustments Process

- The system has been changed to prevent any Captains from receiving duplicate Individual Contribution Rewards by way of rejoining an Alliance.

  ㄴ Previously: After joining an alliance, you can participate in the Mermaid Island Conquest

  ㄴ Changed: Unable to participate in Mermaid Island Conquest for 24 hours after joining an alliance (this includes joining an Alliance for the first time)

We will notify you of the results of the investigation as soon as possible.
